An industry standard option. Used by professional and aspiring artist. Known for its stability, and multi-recording ability.

  • Used amonst audio professionals, Avid Pro Tools provides an assortment of tools for handling audio and MIDI. It has the ability to record multiple tracks simultaneously and gives the user a range of effects.

Alternative Options

  • Developed by Adobe, Audition is a Digital Workstation (DAW) used for audio and video projects. It offers waveform editing and noise reduction tools. It's recommended for well versed users that are in need of in-depth editing.

  • Garage Band is native and free on all Apple product, making it an accessible option. With its simple interface, users can produce music or simply utilize it for voice recording. It's recommended for beginners as it is straightforward and intuitive.

  • Audacity is a free software used for audio track editing. Its added functionality of effects like equalization (EQ), compression and reverb, make it a straightforward solution to audio recording.

Shure SM79 Microphones

A dynamic recording device used for voice recording. It has a built in noise reduction feature, making it ideal for podcasts. It’s known for being versatile, reliable and an excellent choice for recording.

Scarlett 18i20 Interface

Our main unit we use at Lyric Lounge. It’s a hub for input devices which manages all sounds. A powerful and versatile audio interface that is well-suited for a wide range of recording applications, from home studios to professional setups.

TASCAM Mixcast 4

What we recommended for podcast recording. Mainly used for audio podcast recording. 8 channel inputs: 4 microphones, USB device, Smartphone, Bluetooth, and Soundboard.

PreSonus Faderport 8 Controller

This hardware is designed to work alongside with digital audio workstations. The user can control levels or other parameters. It provides tactile control over the DAW, making mixing and automation intuitive and efficient.

Radial Passive Direct Box

Used to connect an electric stringed instrument. The box is used in live sound and recording to ensure clean signal is transmitted and noise is reduced.

Oktava Stereo Microphone Pair
